It doesn’t look like anyone expected this athlete to make it onto NBA 2K23 cover. While most people thought LeBron James would get his cover, J Cole took it. The cover athletes of the NBA 2K23 cover are Devin Booker, Michael Jordan, Sue Bird, and Diana Taurasi. Let’s take a look at their accomplishments and more.

The NBA 2k23 Cover

Below is an overview of the NBA 2K23 cover that you should look at.

Devin Booker Edition

Devin Booker has transformed into one of the league’s best players over the last few seasons.

Booker, a three-point champion, gold medalist, and three-time all-star, is set to replace LeBron James as the league’s face. Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, David Thompson, and David Robinson are the only NBA players to score 70 points. One of them is Booker.

Booker has been in the NBA for seven years and has significantly impacted the court and off it. Besides averaging 23.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists, he’s helping build courts for the next generation.

Booker collaborated with 2K Foundations in 2021 to construct and refurbish basketball courts in Moss Point, Mississippi, his high school home. Booker is an ideal candidate for the NBA 2K23 cover athlete with his flawless jumper on the court and his charitable work.

Dreamer Edition- J. Cole

Over the past few years, J Cole, nicknamed Jermaine, has released several acclaimed and well-liked mixtapes. With his first studio album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, and the timeless Forest Hills Drive, along with The Off-Season, J. Cole has released six consecutive No. 1 and multi-platinum studio albums.

Now that he is the cover athlete for the NBA 2K23 DREAMER Edition, he can add another accomplishment to his resume.

Aside from his studio performances and international shows, J. Cole is a well-known hooper. Aside from appearing in NBA All-Star Game events, working out with Chris Brickley, and other activities, he’s also explored professional basketball.

Additionally, he dropped his basketball sneaker worn by professional basketball players and started DREAMER, apparel and creative agency that reflects J.Cole’s passion for basketball.

Michael Jordan Editions

Michael Jordan spent three years at the University of North Carolina before he left to found Air Jordan. During his first year, he made the game-winning shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship, the first of many famous buzzer-beaters he would make.

In 1984, MJ joined the league as a skinny teenager with obvious talent, undeveloped athleticism, and a desire to become one of the best athletes ever. His rookie NBA season was incredible, winning Rookie of the Year and averaging 28.2 points, which is unheard of for a rookie. Despite his exceptional abilities, Jordan made it easy to transition from college to the pros.

Jordan and the Bulls reached the NBA Playoffs in 1991, defeating Charles Barkley’s Philadelphia 76ers and Patrick Ewing’s New York Knicks. He won his first of six championships in a 4-1 series against Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles Lakers.

Jordan was a one-of-a-kind talent on the court, winning five Most Valuable Player awards, 14 All-Star selections, and the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1988. The number 23 would feel incomplete without one of the greatest players.

WNBA Edition

As the WNBA’s all-time leading assist provider and career starter, she fits every description of a Hall of Famer. Over 20 years in the WNBA, Sue Bird guided the Seattle Storm to four championships and broke numerous records. She has accomplished anything you can think of. Her tenacity and reliance have made her one of the most dependable players on the team, having started every game she’s ever played.

Despite being 41, the former UConn Huskie is still going strong, adding to her all-time assist list and working to win another title. Bird is one of the greatest basketball players in history, so it’s only fitting that she appears on NBA 2K23’s cover for the WNBA season.
